Tree Watering Galvanized, Slotted Tubes for Drought Stressed Foilage

I can produce up to 2 ft. long, galvanized slotted metal tree watering 1-1/4" dia. tree watering tubes with one end crimped that allows the water, air & liquid fertilizers or nutriments to reach the roots more effectively than just surface watering. For large tree's I recommend 4-8 tubes spaced evenly about 10 ft. from the trunk. Installation in grassy area's leaves about 1" of the top of the tube above GL, so that the pipes won't conflict with lawnmower blades. Installation of the tubes in shrub beds near the tree can have 2"-3" left above GL so that the tubes can be located eaisly. Either a hose or a set of drip emmiters can be set into the top of the tube to allow a slow flow of water to enter the tube. To loosen the dirt for pounding the tubes in, I allow a trickle of water to enter the top of the tube & 15 min. later I pound the tube in further & repeat until the top of the tube is at the preferred level. If you've got an industrial drill, a piece of 2' long rebar or small diameter auger with a trickle of water applied can be used to lessen the need for pounding the tube in when performed before installing the tube. These galvanized, slotted tubes that will last for about 20 years or more for an introductory price of $5.00 per 6" of length ea. plus shipping costs, for the re-cycled pipe that I'm currently using. When the current supply of re-cycled pipe is exhausted, new pipe will be purchased and the price would be $7.00 per 6" of pipe plus shipping costs.
