Clint is currently attending Southeast Technical Institute located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The environmental and economical benefits of green roofs Clint Skog Hundreds of years ago there was an abundance of open grassland that used to catch the rainwater and filter out the pollutants, but now a majority of those grasslands have been replaced by cities and buildings. The rain water that falls on the buildings just falls onto the ground unfiltered and runs off into our watersheds. One of the most environmental friendly things we can do to help with excessive runoff and watershed pollution is the idea of green roofs. The main idea behind green roofs are that the plants and their growing media hold most or all of the rainwater that normally would run off the roofs and have to be carried away by storm water drains and ditches. The first group will leave at 10:00AM and the second group will depart at 11:00AM. All proceeds raised will go to our Scholarship fund for second semester financial aid. The winner of the scholarship must be studying in the green/golf industry field and carry a 3.0 GPA or higher.
