			<title>Lawn Irrigation Rules Altered in Sarasota</title>
			<description>&lt;p&gt;Water pressure problems throughout the Sarasota County, Fla.&amp;nbsp;area due to high usage on weekends prompted county commissioners to alter lawn irrigation guidelines.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Effective immediately, lawns previously watered on Sundays will now be watered on Thursdays, according to a county press statement.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This change effects properties that end in odd numbers or letters A through M.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;These watering restrictions don't just apply to those who receive water from a utility system. Those who use wells, ponds or other sources also must follow the guidelines.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Sarasota County's one-day-a-week landscaping regulations began in 2000 to deal with a drought. Officials decided to leave the regulations in place to conserve water, according to a press release.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There are some exceptions to watering restrictions, including newly planted lawn and landscape areas.&lt;/p&gt;
